March is Colon Cancer Prevention Month

Colon cancer is the third most common and second highest cancer-related cause of death in the United States. Yet it is also one of the most preventable forms of cancer. Identifying and removing polyps during screening can decrease the risk of death by 60% to 90%.

Fleming Island Rotary Run and its health care community partners want to team up with you to raise funds that can save lives in North Florida, by preventing this terrible disease.

All funds raised by event participants will benefit Colon Cancer awareness, provide support, and resources for colon cancer prevention.

More information about team fundraising to benefit Colon Cancer will  be posted soon.

Rotary

Apart from our fundraising commitment to prevent colon cancer, registration proceeds from Fleming Island Rotary Run events are used to support many other charitable causes.

We support non-profit organizations operating at the local, regional and international levels, with particular emphasis placed on helping groups that are dedicated to serving the most in need.

Simply by taking part in the Fleming Island Rotary Run, you are joining the fight against colon cancer. But you can do even more... here's how:

Better tools
Engage in Active Giving. Click on "Become a Fundraiser" at the top to create a personal web page that you can send a link to, in email, for contributions from your supporters.

You can also use Active Giving to make your own contribution as an individual, without becoming a fundraiser. Or, you can simply complete our "offline" donation form pdf and mail it back to us.

100% of team fundraising donations will be directly designated to the Colon Cancer Alliance.

Think about your potential!  What if 100 people respond to your sponsorship request and they each donate $20? $2,000 would be donated on behalf of you and your team.
Also, remember, the Colon Cancer Alliance is a 501(c) non-profit organization; therefore all donations are tax deductible.  So, what are you waiting for, get started and thank you for your support!

Tell us how we can help
If you have suggestions or requests on how we can support your fundraising efforts better, email us!

Here's the pitch

Taking part in the Fleming Island Rotary Run is a great way to join the fight against colon cancer. But you can do even more, by helping to raise funds with friends, family and co-workers.

All fundraising teams will be recognized at the event!
